I purchased an SSL certificate — when will it be installed?
If you have purchased an SSL certificate through Atak Domain and your NS records (tr.atakdomain.com and eu.atakdomain.com) are correctly pointed, the general process for SSL certificate installation will proceed as follows:
Automatic Installation
If your NS records are pointed to Atak Domain and the A record of your domain correctly points to the hosting package on Atak Domain, your SSL certificate will be installed by our Expert Staff as soon as possible. In this case, your certificate will be activated without requiring any additional action from you.
If your NS records are not pointed to Atak Domain, meaning you are using another hosting provider, you may need to perform manual verification for the SSL certificate to become active.
Manual Activation (CSR Upload Required):
In this case, you need to generate a CSR code (Certificate Signing Request) from the server where your website is hosted and send it to us. You can send the CSR file by creating a support request. Along with your request, you can also specify and share your preferred verification method.
For this verification, you can choose one of the following three methods:
DNS Verification: After uploading the CSR code, you will be given a DNS record to add. You can complete the verification by adding this record to the DNS section of your domain.
File-Based Verification: After uploading the CSR code, you will be given file content to add to the file path of your website. You can complete the verification process by correctly placing this file in the specified path.
Email Verification: A verification email will be sent to one of the specified email addresses for your domain, such as admin@, webmaster@, etc. You can complete the verification process by following the instructions in the email.
Once this verification process is complete, your SSL certificate is usually activated within 5–10 minutes.
After activating the certificate, you can download and use the certificate that we provide.
