What Documents Are Required for an SSL Certificate?
The documents required to obtain an SSL certificate vary depending on the type of certificate you choose. Based on the validation type, SSL certificates fall into three main categories.
1. Quick Setup SSL Certificate (DV)
Required Documents:
No physical documents are needed. You only need to verify that the domain belongs to you.
2. SSL Certificate for Companies (OV)
Required Documents:
Documents proving the company’s legal entity are required.

3. Extended Validation SSL Certificate (EV)
Required Documents:
In addition to the company documents, the applicant's ID and relationship with the company, a certificate request form, and a contract outlining certificate usage terms, obligations, and legal provisions are required.

- Subscription Agreement (Sectigo Certificate Subscriber Agreement)
Besides the documents, there are additional requirements to consider when applying for an EV SSL certificate:
- You must have an email address starting with admin@ for the approval process.
- A CSR (Certificate Signing Request) file must be created.
Important Notes for CSR Creation
The domain name must be entered correctly.
- The company’s official trade name must be written exactly as it appears on the Tax Certificate. For example: Atak Domain Bilgi Teknolojileri A Ş
- Country, city, district, and address information must be accurate.
- Do not use Turkish characters.
- Key size must be at least 2048-bit RSA.
Important Note:
If your company is listed in the Dun & Bradstreet (dnb.com) database and the information is up-to-date, Sectigo often verifies the company's legal existence, address, and phone number through this database.
In this case, you may not need to prepare additional verification documents such as the "Accountant Opinion Letter".
