Not with a non-European address of your own. Article 2.1 of the Terms and Conditions defines a user as a person holding a postal address in the European Union, the European Economic Area, EFTA or the United Kingdom, and Turkey is not on that list. Article 2.5.2 leaves an exit, however: you may supply a valid delivery address inside that area, or name an authorised representative who has one. The registered address must be a postal address at which documents can actually be served, and it must sit inside the geography of article 2.1. The rule applies not only at registration but throughout the registration period: article 3.4.1 requires SK-NIC to be informed immediately if the condition ceases to be met. The sanction is written down — under article 2.6.2 a non-compliant address triggers a request, and the user record may be deleted if it is not corrected within fourteen days; article 4.5.4.3 treats a non-functioning delivery address as grounds for terminating the registration.

From one to ten years. SK-NIC's own lifecycle diagram shows the registered term as 1-10 years, article 4.2.4 permits renewal in whole years provided the unelapsed period does not exceed ten years, and article 4.2.5 allows this to be repeated. If the renewal request arrives on the expiry date or during the redemption grace period, article 4.2.6 extends the term retroactively from the expiry date — so a delay does not cost you a year.

Immediately. Article 4.5.2 places the name into a forty-day redemption grace period on the day after expiry, and the same clause adds one decisive sentence: a name in that period is not delegated. The address therefore leaves the DNS on that first day and the website and email stop working. For forty days the name is not released to anyone else and renewal remains possible; if the period ends without renewal, article 4.5.3 has the name deleted the next day. During this period you cannot transfer the name or change its settings.

The request is submitted to SK-NIC through the incoming authorised registrar, with authorisation from the registrant. There is a consequence specific to this zone that catches people out: under article 4.4.2, once the change completes successfully, the registration period is automatically extended by one year. The transfer runs through the domain's authorised registrar, and the registrar may submit the request only on the written request of the registrant and with the approval of the new registrant. Where an heir or assignee presents legally acceptable documentation, the transfer is also carried out. It does not change the expiry date; it ends the contract with the former holder and concludes a new one with the new holder, who must also satisfy the address test in article 2.1. A name in the redemption grace period cannot be transferred.
