.sy / .com.sy Domain Registration Documents
According to the regulations of the Syrian Ministry of Communications and other official authorities, .sy and .com.sy domain names can only be registered under the name of a Syrian individual or company by providing the following documents:

Additional Required Information
- A permanent residential address in Syria
- A Syrian mobile number
According to the guidelines set forth by the Syrian registrar, the following categories of domain names cannot be registered:
- Generic global domain names (e.g., Biz.sy, Openai.sy)
- Professional titles (e.g., Engineer.sy, doctor.sy)
- Names of provinces or cities (e.g., Damascus.sy)
- Personal names (e.g., Ahmed.sy, abduallah.sy)
- Languages (e.g., English.sy)
- Religious names, including:
- Names of God and His attributes
- Names of prophets
- Names of religions, sects, or sacred places
- Trademarked names (e.g., YouTube.sy, samsung.sy, google.sy, zara.sy, adidas.sy, mcdonalds.sy, mastercard.sy, nike.sy)
- Domains with fewer than two characters
- Domain names with special significance (e.g., domains.sy)
