No. The rules settle eligibility in a single sentence and draw no line between the second and the third level: any adult natural person and any legal entity, national or foreign, may apply, and the number of names is not capped. A company based in Türkiye and a sole trader face the same terms; no local address, no local company, no representative and no trustee are required. Do not let the word «com» mislead you either: for .com.bo the registry does not even ask for a declaration of commercial activity. Priority is purely chronological, and whoever reserves the name first gets it.

One character. The name composition clause sets the minimum for the second and third level together at one character, and there is no separate floor for the third level. Measurement confirms it: the one-letter name a.com.bo came back as open for registration in the registry's own availability check and was listed at the ordinary third-level tariff. Fifty-six characters. The rules put the ceiling at sixty-three characters but apply that figure to the whole name including the suffix, so the per-label logic of generic extensions does not hold here. Because .com.bo occupies seven characters, fifty-six are left to you. Measurement breaks at exactly that point: a fifty-six character name comes back as free while a fifty-seven character name is reported as closed. The same measurement yields sixty characters at the second level, so if you have a long name in mind .bo buys you four more characters.

From one year up to six. The payment clause of the rules sets a single ceiling for registration and renewal alike, and it is the same for every .bo domain; there is no reduced limit for the third level. The intermediate terms count as well, so a two, three, four or five year registration is equally possible. On renewal the new term runs from the previous expiry date rather than from the day the payment clears, so renewing early costs you nothing. Once payment is verified the name is activated within the next business day at the latest.

You are left with thirty calendar days. If payment is not verified on the expiry date the registry cuts the service and the domain effectively stops resolving; after the cut you have thirty calendar days to renew, with a final warning email five days before the period closes. A name not renewed inside that window is cancelled and released for good, so anyone may register it. The separate redemption period familiar from generic extensions does not exist in this zone. Since the registry also warns thirty, fifteen and four days before expiry, keeping a working email address on the account is critical.

No. The registry splits the third level into three classes and .com.bo sits in the most open of them: documents are demanded only in the restricted spaces. Those are gob.bo for public bodies, mil.bo for the armed forces, int.bo for international organisations and embassies, and edu.bo for educational institutions; each requires a request letter signed by the competent authority, proof of appointment and a copy of an identity document or passport. The registry has four working days to review such a file, and silence within that period counts as a refusal. .com.bo is not on that list.

By default almost everything: the holder's name or company name, email, country, city, address and telephone; the same fields for the administrative, technical and financial contacts; the name servers and their IP addresses; and the reservation, activation and cut-off dates. Switching that off is free of charge, though: from the domain management screen of their account the registrant can hide contact data either wholesale or field by field. Through a change-of-holder request. On .com.bo there is no such operation as a change of registrar: because the registry sells names directly from its own system, the only route is a change of holder. The registry agrees a date and time to close the existing name with the new holder, the name is closed, and the new holder registers it again with their own details. The service is interrupted meanwhile, the new holder has to re-enter the name servers, and the full initial tariff is paid regardless of the term still left. The registry, the rulebook, the support channel and the name servers are identical; the difference lies in the level, in the length and in perception. .bo registers directly at the second level and carries the country identity in its shortest form, while .com.bo sits at the third level and is the customary address for a commercial presence in the Bolivian market. Neither imposes an eligibility test. The one structural difference measured is length: because the ceiling covers the whole name, .bo allows a sixty-character label and .com.bo fifty-six. The two levels are independent, so the same name can be held at both.

The procedure looks for three elements much as the UDRP does, but carries an important local twist: the trademark the complainant relies on must be registered or applied for in Bolivia, so a mark protected only abroad fails the first element.
