No. The registry's registration policy states that names under .ps are open to any entity inside and outside Palestine, and it asks for no residency, no local contact and no documents. The registry's own guide puts it even more plainly: anyone, Palestinians and non-Palestinians, from businesses to organisations to individuals, can register a .ps domain name. Measurement confirms it — on 15 August 2026 the zone held names registered in the United States, Ireland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, Switzerland and China. The registry rulebook describes the name format directly: a minimum of one and a maximum of sixty-three alphanumeric characters, drawn from the sets a–z and 0–9, with the hyphen as the only special character and never in first or last position.
