Portugal is one of the least developed countries in Europe. 31% of the working population is employed in agriculture, 35% in industry and trade, and 34% in various services. Food industry, textile, furniture and construction sector has an important place in Portugal. Food industry; milling, sugar, fish, canned and olive oil factories. Textile industry has developed.
