More than 800,000 hectares of land are planted, especially in the irrigated valleys of the northwest and in the central Bajio region. The production of sorghum (sorghum) is increased. Winter vegetables are grown especially in the northwestern province of Sinalova. Tropical plants grow in coastal areas and in the south.
