No. The registry splits its zones into restricted and unrestricted, and .com.pe sits in the unrestricted group; documents, company registration and local presence apply only to gob.pe, mil.pe and edu.pe. The definition of an eligible holder is the same everywhere: «any natural or legal person, national or foreign». The name is suspended on its expiry date and the website and mail stop that same day. A single 30-calendar-day window then runs: pay inside it and the name is restored, miss it and the name is deleted and becomes available to anyone. There is no second redemption stage and no separate recovery fee, which makes leaving the renewal to the expiry date riskier here than on many other extensions.

Ownership changes at the holder's own request, through a will or a notarial declaration of heirs, by administrative or court order, or by a decision of a dispute resolution centre. The registry runs its own procedure built on UDRP principles, but it limits the rights you can rely on to rights protected in Peru: a trade mark registered in Peru, a protected designation of origin, a personal name publicly recognised in the country, the name of a Peruvian government body, or an entity name filed in Peru's public registries. Three conditions must hold together: identity or confusing similarity, no legitimate interest, and bad faith.
