The general rule requires applicants to be Myanmar entities or, for natural persons, permanent residents; but two of the eight criteria listed for the commercial space treat being the owner or the applicant of a trademark registered in Myanmar as sufficient on their own. Full records from the registry's working WHOIS server return the domain name, registry domain ID, registrar, updated, creation and expiry dates, status codes, name servers and DNSSEC status; the registrant, admin and tech e-mail fields, however, come back empty, and the only registrant detail published is the country code. At the end of each response the registry states that you should query the registrar's own directory service for information on how to contact the registrant.

There is no published arbitration procedure; the guidelines make no reference to the UDRP or to any dispute panel. Instead there are three concrete footholds. The first is the reservation rule: names containing trademarks registered under the Myanmar Trademark Law are reserved for the trademark owner, unless the name was already registered by a third party before that trademark registration. The second is the right of a party affected by deletion or suspension to appeal to the Ministry. The third is transfer on a certified copy of a High Court order.
